In Praise of the Prada Saffiano Lux Tote

without comments

In a fashion landscape so varied and eccentric that the simultaneous embrace of leopard, lace, military-chic and minimalism doesn’t seem all that far-fetched or contradictory in the least, sometimes we forget the charms of a simple, good thing. You know who doesn’t forget that kind of stuff? Miuccia Prada. The Prada Saffiano Lux Tote is exactly the kind of bag I want to turn to when I’m feeling trend-weary.

This design isn’t new, and we’ve probably covered various iterations of this bag in the past. The more I see it, though, the more I think it deserves mentioning. The straight lines and clean edges are basically perfect in their simplicity, and the stiff, tough saffiano leather will hold its shape for years to come. For me, this tote is perhaps the perfect price-effective alternative to a Birkin, particularly if the buckles and flaps of the Hermes classic prove to be a little much for your usual style. I’ll take one of these in every color, and I bet I’d never get sick of carrying them. Buy through PursesMama for $409.

Prada Top Handle Full of Elegance and Glamour

with 2 comments

Recently, I found a handbag that is full of elegance and charming features that I love when I browsed around on Pursesmama! If you follow Pursesmama in these days, you will definitely find out some new arrivals out there. I was surprised to spot this amazing Prada Top Handle on the site. I just can’t take my eyes off it after my first glance. I love black because black brings me a sense of safety. To some extent, it’s a kind of representative of a successful woman, so black also gives us a sense of achievement. In function, it’s not only a handbag catering for your daily need as it’s supposed to be, more importantly, it comes with a detachable shoulder strap that is user-friendly enough when you are carrying with heavy stuff in your bag. I love the flap closure design as it can help your stuff stay safely in your bag, besides, it’s also a decorative part on the bag adding an additional charm to it. Exquisitely crafted from cowhide leather makes it even more durable and worthy.

Prada’s Fall 2011 Ad Campaign

without comments

I truly believe that a good ad campaign will help drive the sale of one particular brand. The impact of an ad plays a significant role in getting a brand into a well-recognized community. Prada’s Fall 2011 Ad Campaign seems to have followed its previous style to present us a colorful image. The vibrant blue, green, purple and orange etc. immersed in one picture brings us a visual shock. The items on the ad campaign show the buyers what they really want and the core value of the brand. Come and check it out for what the ad is all about!

Innovative Prada in Low Profile

without comments

Prada 2011 Spring/Summer collection has brought us a strong visual sensation. The colorful handbags, totes and clutches etc. were undoubtedly the spotlights on the stage. I agree that it was a nice show but truly speaking, only few could burst into my sight. Sorry for my critical view, I think I am a leather lover, however, I am ok with those in canvas made if they could evoke my love for them. Anyway, those from Prada 2011 Spring/Summer collection are excluded in my wishlist!
Innovative Prada in Low Profile1The above clutches are acceptable compared with the canvas finish. Though they look simple and tedious in color, especially some strange matches like pink and black, silver and mandarin, I still love the way they look. This is why I entitled them “innovative”. However, I insist in the concept that simplicity is fashion. These clutches are simply crafted from one single material, but they always provide what we basically need and give fashion a precise definition.

Innovative Prada in Low Profile2

On the contrary, I feel very uncomfortable with these canvas clutches which look cheap and shapeless on hand. These clutches remind me of my school bag that was popular years ago. Though canvas is durable, I don’t think it’s a good idea to make a bag entirely in canvas. The most stunning feature that these clutches present is the push-lock that made of leather instead of the traditional metal hardware. This is a creative idea, right? But I am wondering how it works normally as the metal lock does.

Prada-lambskin-woven-top-handle-bag

Happy New Year! I think it must be a thrilling moment to expect the arrival of 2011. I can’t wait to countdown with my friends in the last day of 2010. How about you? Do you guys have any plans to celebrate this heart stirring moment? In the last day of this year, I want to share a very special handbag from Prada with you as an ending for 2010. This is an exceedingly rare handbag among Prada’s products because of its woven design and supple lambskin leather. Prada Lambskin Woven Top Handle, today’s favorite, is impeccably crafted from supple and soft lambskin. As soon as its release, this top handle receives loud applause from many people. The best impression that this top handle gives us is the fabulous woven design in four colors, which gives out a warm feeling in winter. Besides, the special craftsmanship reminds us of many sweet memories of the past. I truly believe with its tremendous outlook, this top handle will be highly appreciated in the coming New Year!

Preview of Prada1

Prada 2011 Spring/Summer promo, which was directed by Steven Meisel, has been sophisticatedly released. Getting rid of the excessive rendering and decorations, the photographer has perfectly made a great use of the simply and purely colored background to complement the vibrant Latin American style that filled with passion and energy. Performed by Mariacarla Boscono, Arizona Muse, Kinga Razjak, Zuzanna Biljoch and Tati Cotliar, Baroque printings, Pop color shawls, tropical elements and navy strips served by the fabulous green, orange, blue and pink present a bravely and exaggeratedly stylish trend. Therefore, freshness, braveness, exaggeration and obviousness are the key words to demonstrate the beauty of this Prada 2011 Spring/Summer promo.

Christmas Gift Guide Part Two

with 2 comments

Christmas Gift Guide Part TwoIn the second part of the Christmas gift guide, I decided to change another style to differ from the previous colorful wallets. So we have two lovely Prada Clutches in pink and black today. These are the common colors that suitable for both lovely girls and mature ladies since pink and black respectively represent different feelings. If the colorful wallets are not the cup of your tea, this simple and understated black might fit your appetite.

The Prada Mini Clutch is crafted from natural leather with the matching leather trimmings. Obviously, there is no surprise being found if you are craving bizarre patterns or spacious capacity. The undiversified look and compact size might bore you, but when you check out the extra shoulder strap that comes with the bag, you will be definitely stunned. Not only does this Prada Clutch allow an elbow or handheld carry, but cross-body carry is also a glaring lightspot stimulating our eyeballs. One thing worth mentioning is that the shoulder strap is not simply finished in leather but seemingly a copy from Chanel. The chain strap with leather going through the holes adds a sophisticatedly elegant to the bag and makes it fabulous as a whole. Getting one as a Christmas gift to your friend will be surely a smart choice!

Prada Saffiano Lux Tote

with 3 comments

Prada-Saffiano-Lux-ToteWhat I have brought you today is still a Prada tote based on the theme of simplicity. Prada might have abandoned its clumsy tassels and complicated designs and chose to develop itself as a chic and simple luxury brand which is likely to cater to consumers’ needs. Prada gets it right that following the trend of mainstream is always the best niche to open up a new sales market. Always listening to what the consumers want may win an unexpected applause.

Being same with the last Prada I recommended, this Prada Sattiano Lux Tote looks elegant and classic. Unlike the varied and eccentric designs that most of other brands present, this Sattuano Lux Tote exudes grace and nobility. When people are pursuing the so-called beauty and fashion, they usually forget the charms of being simple and plain. However, this very simplicity is one of the crucial elements that speaks well of fashion and beauty. With only one piece of leather going around the whole bag, the Saffiano Lux Tote may look dull but the symbolic triangle Prada logo at the top center makes it remarkable as a whole.

Prada Tote in Ostrich Leather

without comments

Prada Ostrich

Ostrich leather finish products are not widely accepted due to the fact that they’re blasted expensive like crocodile leather which not only takes time but also requires much money to process.

This is Prada Struzzo Executive Ostrich Tote that awesomely made to be as chic as Birkin. It’s a very simple tote without any other decorations on the bag except the logo, but the forever classic Prada triangle logo at the top center fully reinterprets the combination of timeless and simple look. Simplicity seems to be the only element that Prada takes because nothing could be more appropriate than a simple look on this bag. Without any clumsy dangling details or garish printings, the Prada Struzzo Executive Ostrich Tote better presents us what conciseness is. Besides, this Prada Struzzo Executive Ostrich, to some extent, is quite an inspirational bag that may give you some ideas if you are prone to DIY. A beautiful scarf or bag chain may give you a surprise!

The Prada Cervo Satchel Shows You The Gorgeousness and Stylishness

with 3 comments

Prada-Cervo-SatchelPrada stands out because of its design aesthetic, which is so particular that among a handbag line-up many of us could pick the Prada bags out in a jiffy. This Prada Cervo Satchel goes in its normal way. What makes me want to share it with you is its simplicity is quite striking. Just this one point may speak volumes for a bag. And what we can see from this Prada Cervo Satchel? A touch of urbanity meets sophistication and casualness, which works entirely well for this bag.

Prada seems like classic and tradition, so it keeps going a way we can assume. Their bags are easily predictable, in this way, it let us down when we expect something fresh and enthralling. Does this Satchel make a difference?

Definitely yes! The deerskin leather is sturdy and takes on a quality feeling that makes me want to have a touch on it. The contrasting belt buckle detail and vintage leather finish is absolutely adorable and makes a perfect work. The hue of the whole bag looks quite gorgeous and stylish. In addition, Prada Cervo Satchel presents with a detachable shoulder strap. I am the one who always welcome bags with shoulder strap to my wardrobe –they can make my hands free!

Stories Behind the Prada Triangle

with 4 comments

A triangle logo in black background with PRADA letters and the year of establishment is a never changing mark for Prada, which represents Prada’s identity to the world. This logo is almost visible in every item from Prada. I can’t deny that choosing a remarkable logo for a brand is very crucial. Since a well-designed logo is a birth mark of a brand, it should be designed in a creative and impressive way. Prada has achieved it!

When we are talking about Prada, how many of you have read its story and history? Studying a brand or an enterprise’s history and background is one of my favorite hobbies in leisure time. Today, I’d love to share what I have learned on this fashion brand. Prada is an Italian design group, it may also be known as a brand and house. The retail outlets have been established all over the world nowadays. The group was originally founded in 1913 by Mario Prada and his brother Martino in Milan, Italy. Therefore, the design of Prada triangle logo was originated from the above information. Miuccia, the granddaughter of Mario’s, joined the company in 1970, eventually taking over the business from her mother in 1978. She released her first set of backpacks and totes in next year, which were made out of a tough military spec black nylon.  But this set of collection did not won her success instantly because of the lack of advertising.

In 1987, Miuccia married Bertelli, the business manager of the company at that time. Then Prada launched its women’s ready-to-wear collection in 1989, and the designs came to be known for their dropped waistlines and narrow belts. Prada’s popularity dramatically increased when the fashion world took notice of its clean lines, opulent fabrics and basic colors. Later on, numerous successes have been made, leading it to a tremendous achievement in the world. Today, Prada is one of the top luxury brands around the world and owning its boutiques in America, Europe, Asia and Oceania. The sensitive creativity and perseverance behind the achievement might be the most decisive factors making a brand or an enterprise successful.

Prada_9949CBK

Prada’s originality made it one of the most influential fashion houses, and the brand became a premium status symbol in the 1990s. The signature Prada look encompassed luxurious fabrics in mostly black, browns, grays, greens, and creams to create simple, yet provocative styles. Life in Italy states that clothing was “sexy and spoke of confidence without revealing too much skin.

This will simply take you to modern-vintage style without being too flashy or being too dull. It as well looks sassy and girly, while toughness is still present, making it perfect for those with different kind of fashion statement. Crafted with black cowhide leather, this tote presents a very comfortable touch. Special pleats on both side give it a sophisticated effect, reflecting a kind of exotic feeling! Equipped with double rolled handles and a detachable shoulder strap enable you to carry it in different ways as you please! The handles look nothing impressive but when you move your eyes to the leather bands beneath, you will find the “fixed” handles are also adjustable simply by adjusting the length of the leather bands. Prada will never keep a low profile like other brands, its eye-catching logos never fail to expose. From the front, the dangling accessories and the leather tag inside, you can easily find its identity. Featuring one interior zip pocket and 2 patch pockets, this Prada Nappa Leather tote is a must have for your essentials.

It holds the dimension of 14″L x 4″W x 12″H, enough for your everyday’s need.

Prada is often known for its sophisticated minimalist streak, but this studded Prada Glace Calf Tote is one exception. With its bold gold and silver studs running down the sides, strap, handles, and zipped front pocket, this rich brown leather tote isn’t afraid to go the flashy route.

Prada Cognac Pebble Leather ‘Mercer’ Bag

I think this Prada Cognac Pebble Leather ‘Mercer’ Bag is really great, considering the brand, material, design and color, but the look is just so-so. I don’t see anything much special about the look of this purse, very ordinary, or just average, if put in another way.

This Prada Cognac Pebble Leather ‘Mercer’ Bag features Cognac pebble leather with gold toned hardware, zip pockets on the front, back and the side, and a top zip closure with a brand name glass beads zipper. More details are from .
